Notice of Public Auction Sale of Personal Property

November 1, 2025

 

Owned by the Lakewood City School District (LCSD) and no longer needed for school purposes. The LCSD will sell the following personal property:

A 3-wide modular trailer (arrangement) measuring approximately 70 feet in length and 42 feet in width. The modular units are three standard “single-wide” trailers side by side, and are secured to a concrete pad with attached steps. The modular units have wood siding and were previously last used in August 2025 as an office/classrooms.

 

ONLINE AUCTION

The Auction shall be listed for a period of 14 days on www.publicsurplus.com,

ending at 4:00 pm on November 16, 2025

 

The modular units will be sold AS IS to the highest bidder (“Winning Bidder”). The modular units are located at Taft Center for Innovation at 13701 Lake Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio (“Property”). The following stipulations apply to this auction:

 

  • The LCSD reserves the right to refuse any and all bids due to unmet mandates or due to an unacceptable removal plan for said item.
  • The LCSD reserves the right to refuse award of said item if questionable means of  removal, or the winning bidder does not show the skills to safely remove and transport said item.
  • The winning bidder must agree to LCSDStandards of repairs to any property that occurs in the removal of said item.
  • The winning bidder must show proof of insurance to cover costs of possible damages to property of buildings, grounds, etc. in the amount of $100,000.00.
  • The winning bidder is responsible for safely capping off any electrical connection.
  • All wooden canopies, skirting or other attachments to the structure shall be hauled away by the buyer.
  • All aluminum ramps and stairs attached to the modular units shall be hauled away by the buyer.
  • All work or removal will be performed so as to not interrupt any activities that are scheduled at the Property.
  • All permits, and transportation shall be the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Removal of the modular units shall be completed by December 20, 2025.

 

There will be a MANDATORY meeting for those submitting bids.

For questions concerning the above item, to schedule an appointment to view the item, or to pick up purchased item, please call   Chris Donahoe @ 216-227-5146 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. ALL PICKUPS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. 

All items are where is, as is. We give the most accurate description possible, but encourage buyers to inspect items personally. All items listed were fully functional when stored, unless otherwise listed. Buyers have 5 days to pay for item after winning the auction, and must remove items within 5 days of payment. Failure to do so may cause storage fees to be charged until pick up is completed. ALL items purchased must be removed from its location by the buyer. Seller retains the right to cancel the auction at any time, and to accept or refuse any offers. TO THE WALL, FLOOR, ETC. WILL BE REMOVED BY THE BUYER.

Buyer must supply all personnel for removing said items. The school will NOT have ANY loading capabilities. All items must be removed from the room, and loaded on the truck by the buyer. There are NO forklifts or loading docks at this location. Some equipment is extremely Heavy, and will require special equipment, which will be supplied by the buyer. 

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKAGING, SHIPPING, OR OTHERWISE OF ANY ITEMS SOLD.

THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES NO TOOLS, OR ASSISTANCE IN REMOVAL OF ITEMS. 

PROPER EQUIPMENT MUST BE USED FOR REMOVAL OF ALL ITEMS, I.E. TRUCKS, TRAILERS, VANS, NOT VW'S OR FIATS.

NOTICE !!!  Items not paid for within 5 calendar days will be passed to the next highest bidder with the winner forfeiting their right to the item. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 calendar days, and pickup within 5 calendar days of payment, unless otherwise specified in the auction listing

Public Surplus will charge a sales tax for location of purchase.

Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 11% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. ALL items MUST be paid within 5 calendar days. unless specified by the auction.Buyer must remove auction item(s) from agencies premises within 5 calendar days of notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment, unless stated otherwise in the AUCTION

If said items are not picked up at the times listed,the buyer forfeits ALL rights to the item(s) NO Refunds will be given . The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up.
BMAM/OSB may require bid deposits.

Pick-up hours by appointment only. Bidder will be responsible for removal of item.

Successful bidder will be responsible for cost of packing and/or shipping of any item(s). The Vendor does NOT ship, Pack, or handle
