Vehicles are not inspected prior to being placed for auction.
Contact information and address for retrieval of items will be supplied to the winning bidder in the winning notice.

No repairs will be allowed on City Property - must be removed from site as is.
Tax will be due upon registration of vehicle, it will not be collected at time of sale.
*Purchaser must pick-up, as signature is needed for title documentation purposes. Vehicle's sale date will be reported to the State of MN on the day it is picked up.*
*Arrangements to pick up vehicle must be made, in advance, to ensure that the proper personnel is available to complete the paperwork.*
Nonpayment of Auction items or failure to meet the terms of sale may result in a permanent exclusion from all auctions held by The City of St. Paul.
Inspection of Auction items by appointment only.
City of Saint Paul may require a bid deposit.
PayMac handles all payments for the City of Saint Paul.
Acceptable forms of payment are: wire transfer or credit card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five business days after notice of award.
The City of Saint Paul will charge a sales tax of 9.875% EXCEPT ON TITLED VEHICLES. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for picking up item(s) from the agency. Pick-up MUST occur within ten business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item(s) will not be released.
