The Grasshopper 900D is a commercial-grade, front-mount, zero-turn lawn mower designed for powerful and efficient performance on large properties and for landscape contractors. It features a high-torque, liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engine and a versatile design that accepts a range of implements for year-round use. The large cutting deck is 72" and includes the blades. Approximately 270 hours on the machine. This machine includes the powered edger attachment. This unit runs strong and is ready for operations!
Engine and performance
- Engine: The 900D is powered by a fuel-efficient Kubota MaxTorque™ Clean Diesel engine that is EPA Tier 4 Final-compliant. The 3-cylinder, 77 cu. in. (1.3L) liquid-cooled engine has a horizontal crankshaft and pressure lubrication system for smooth, reliable operation.
- Torque vs. horsepower: The 900D is known for its high torque, which allows it to power through heavy grass at high mowing speeds, even though its horsepower is capped at around 25 hp due to emissions regulations.
- Transmission: A rugged G3 hydrostatic transmission with auxiliary cooling fans provides smooth power transfer and requires less maintenance, with a 1,000-hour fluid change interval.
- Speed: It can achieve forward speeds up to 11 mph and reverse speeds up to 6 mph.
