[ View/Ask ]***THIS IS NOT IN RUNNING CONDITION***
This 1997 Freightliner sleeper cab semi-truck is being offered for public auction in "as-is" condition. Please note that this vehicle does not run and is being sold as a project vehicle. It is a prime candidate for a complete restoration or for use as a source of parts.
For over two decades, this truck has served as a hands-on learning tool for high school students in an automotive and diesel technology program. While it has been the subject of countless lessons, its mechanical condition is a direct result of its history as a student-led project. The engine and various systems have been worked on, taken apart, and reassembled multiple times, but it is not in a functioning state.
This is an ideal opportunity for a mechanic, a trucking enthusiast with a passion for restoration, or a parts salvage operation. Due to its non-running status, the buyer is responsible for all towing and transportation from the auction site. We encourage all interested parties to inspect the vehicle thoroughly prior to bidding.
We have owned it since 2003. It has 467,947 miles on it.
