The City of Cuyahoga Falls, OH Water dept. offers this 2007 Sterling 5 ton dump truck for sale via online auction. All items are offered AS IS - AS SEE and in person inspection is encouraged M_F 9:00am - 3:00pm by appointment. No snow plow is included although if that changes the information for the auction will be updated.
Caterpillar engine c11 with NO ARD system to go bad! Allison automatic transmission with transmission retarder. AC is intact but non working for unknown reasons. Driver seat cushion is weak and a replacement is available through Freightliner dealer for around $140.00 for foam and cover.
Normal use was for water main breaks and when not in use it was stored indoors. Some corrosion is seem but not anything extensive for the age at all.
No check engine light is seen and mileage is ECM correct. Hydraulics work as expected and there is an auto greasing system from Groenveld installed. Long bed rails seem ok and the stainless bed looks to be a Hi-way brand.
The City makes no statement as to any continued Drive-ability other than it starts, moves ahead, reverses, stops and turns off. The buyer agrees to remove this asset 7 business days after the Mayor signs the title and it is Notary stamped. No vehicles are released until the title process is complete - no exceptions.
Method of removal is entirely the buyers choice and if a transport is hire the Garage must be notified 24 hours in advance with driver AND company name. Person picking this up MUST HAVE a cope of the auction receipt and phone image is acceptable. Buyer pays all costs to ship, City staff will not assist.
A copy of service history will go with if available. Sale is tax exempt until you transfer the title.
