****VEHICLE SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS**** No Warranties or Guarantees Implied. All items of concern at the time of removing the auction item from daily service are fully disclosed to the best of our knowledge. Not all accessories shown in some photos will be included at time of actual sale.
SMOG CERTIFICATIONS: Any vehicles sold needing smog certification will be the purchaser’s responsibility.
****Vehicles may have been stored for a while requiring the battery be jump started and or replaced which will be the purchaser's responsibility. “No Guarantees on Battery Condition”!
Auction Items can be viewed at the City of Monterey Public Works Facility located at 25 Ryan Ranch Rd. by appointment only prior to close of auction. (M/F) (7:00am-3:00pm)
No Sales Tax collected at point of sale-Taxes to be paid to DMV when vehicle is registered
SALE FEES: Buyer’s fee will be added to winning bid
WINNING BIDDERS
- Payment or arrangements to pay must be made within the first (5) days of the close of auction or item will be relisted with delinquent bidder being blocked from future auctions.
- Pick-ups by “APPOINTMENT ONLY” within (10) days of close of auction. Other arrangements can be made upon notification.
- Non-operational vehicles are the purchaser’s sole responsibility to make arrangements for towing. No assistance or aid will be provided for the removal of purchased items. Loading time is only permitted during facilities normal operating time frames.
- Insufficient or improper item removal transport will not be allowed. Winning Bidders must provide safe and adequate transportation for removal of purchased items!!
- Temporary DMV tags are the sole responsibility of the bidder.
- Winning bidders wishing to have someone other than themselves pick up purchased items must make prior arrangements in writing.

City of Monterey may require a bid deposit.
PayMac handles all payments for City of Monterey.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
Pick-up hours by appointment only.
The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
